October 14, 2010

All the teams shot well this week but the week ended with some large victories.  Clarksburg came out on top over Sportsmen Club with a 4 – 1 win.

Captain Curley’s had a large upset over TJ’s with a 5 – 0 win.  Wade Rager shot very well for the second week in a row and took his match over Tom Silk with a 2 – 0 victory.  Heather Miller brought her game back this week with a 3 – 0 win over Jerry Cunkleman.  Ron Peak finally got his nerves under control and found himself winning over Chris Uncapher with a 2 – 0 win.  Bugger had a huge victory over Lou Gonzales with a 4 – 0 win.  We’d like to take this time to welcome Lou Gonzales to the Indiana County TAP League.

Brownies had a shocking upset over Reality Chek with a 4 – 1 win.  John Platt for the third week in a row has come out on top with a big victory, this week ending with 3 – 0 win over Tony Chronoski.  Bob Lyons also had another outstanding shooting week with a victory over Nancy Stiffler ending the match with a 2 – 0 win.

Please take the time to remember a good shooter and a great friend, Paul Isaacs, who passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010.  You will always be remembered and very much missed.

After six weeks this still leaves the teams all very close with only six games between the first and fifth place.  Brownies and Clarksburg both tied for first place with 17 wins, Reality Chek in third place with 15 wins, Captain Curley’s in fourth place with 14 wins, and Sportsmen Club in fifth place win eleven wins and TJ’s still holding with only one win but they still get the “Good Spirit” award.
